Failed Floater Disc and problems bonding to the lock-up piston.
254mm 10" – Chrysler 604
- Piston should be the late style stamped with the letter "B". This piston can be used again without any modifications. "IF IT IS IN GOOD CONDITION"
- Piston for first production models will have no stamped markings or will be stamped with the letter "A". This is the early design and should be changed to the "B" type piston. If the "B" type piston is not available the "A" type piston should be straightened first in an arbor press, then resurfaced and welded at each spring cell on the back side and refaced to avoid ballooning and contact with the front cover.
