 FULL FURNACE BRAZING ON TURBINE. TURBINE HUB IS RIVETED WITH 12 SOLID RIVETS. HUB HAS 25 SPLINES, IS COUNTERBORED TO MATE WITH SEAL ON TRANSMISSION INPUT SHAFT, AND UTILIZES SQUARE CUT TEFLON SEALING RING AT THE LOCK UP PISTON SEALING BORE

LOCK UP PISTON IS SINGLE DISC, WITH APPROXIMATELY 35.50 SQ. INCHES OF FRICTION SUFRACE AREA. DAMPER PLATE IS RIVETED TO THE CLUTCH DISC WITH 18 SOLID RIVETS.

STATOR BODY IS AN ALUMINUM CASTING, WITH A HARDENED STEEL OUTER SPRAG RACE PRESSED IN PLACE. ONE STATOR CAP IS CAST AS PART OF THE STATOR BODY, AND THE OTHER STATOR CAP (REMOVEABLE) IS ALUMINUM AS WELL, HELD IN PLACE BY A SNAP RING. THE SPRAG IS A 29 ELEMENT CAGED TYPE OF UNIT, EASILY SERVICED. THERE ARE PARTIALLY ENCLOSED BEARINGS BETWEEN THE TURBINE AND THE STATOR, AND BETWEEN THE STATOR AND THE IMPELLER. THERE IS A "VESPEL" TYPE OF PLASTIC THRUST WASHER BETWEEN THE TURBINE AND THE FRONT COVER.
