“Safety & Your Bottom Line” During this presentation, Dennis Ray and Kim Edris will discuss the importance of safety; how accidents and losses affect an organization; the hidden costs of losses; where OSHA fits into all of this; and what a business can do about these issues.

Denis J. Ray

Dennis J. Ray is a Senior Loss Control Consultant for The Cincinnati Insurance Companies. CIC is part of the Cincinnati Financial Corporation, and actively markets a broad range of standard market property casualty insurance products in 37 states. Cincinnati Financial, formed in 1968,

stands among the nation’s top 25 property casualty insurer groups, based on net written premiums.

Denny has worked at CIC for 22 years, gaining broad insurance experience while serving in its Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Sales, and Loss Control departments. As a Senior Loss Control Consultant, he helps CIC’s agencies and policyholders minimize losses by identifying, evaluating and providing control measures to reduce the chances of a loss.

Denny holds the CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter), CRM (Certified Risk Manager), AIM (Associate in Management) and ARM (Associate in Risk Management) professional designations. Denny has a BS degree in Management and Personnel from Wilmington College.



Kim Edris

Kim Edris is the loss control/safety professional for Brower Insurance Agency, LLC. In this position, he provides agency customers with safety assistance in areas such as employee safety regulations and training, ergonomics, fire protection and fleet safety. Mr. Edris has more than 30 years experience in the insurance safety field. He has worked in a wide variety of industries and has customers throughout the U.S. Brower Insurance Agency has provided insurance and risk management services to the business community since 1935. Independently owned since its inception, Brower has offices in Dayton, Cincinnati, Springfield and Columbus, Ohio.

Further instructions for your 2010 Board of Directors Ballot

Inside the mailed April Newsletter is your ballot for the upcoming 2010 Board of Directors election. Each member has earned the opportunity to vote for four nominees. Clearly mark your choices by marking the box next to the person’s name with an “X.”

Once all four boxes are clearly marked (ballots with more than four votes will not be counted), fold your ballot in thirds and seal with a mailing seal or piece of tape. Your ballot is already addressed to Len Wack for tallying, and with your return address already included we will ensure one vote per company is followed. Members residing outside the of United States may take advantage of emailing your selections directly to Len.

All ballots must be mailed or emailed no later than May 1st, 2010 so all votes are counted and tallied prior to the annual seminar. Final information regarding the elections will be held during the member meeting at this year’s seminar and elected board members will be announced.

As we’ve been reporting, this year’s seminar will be held in Dayton, Ohio on May 21st, 2010-May 22nd, 2010. Consolidated Vehicle Converters has graciously welcomed the entire TCRA organization to be guests and tour its facility as the first portion of this year’s agenda. The classroom setting will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn on Saturday. This hotel is approximately 30 minutes from the Dayton airport and 15 minutes from CVC.

The seminar fee includes transportation to the plant tour of CVC on Friday, lunch, Saturday classroom seminar and steak lunch. A reception will also be held Saturday evening with a cash bar. Election results will also be announced during the member meeting.

For members, seminar fees are set at $225 for the first attendee and discounted rate of $175 for each additional attendee. For nonmembers, seminar fees are set at $275 for the first attendee and $250 for each additional attendee. Hotel arrangements can be made by contacting the hotel directly. You can still benefit by booking early and receiving our TCRA group rate of $99.00 (just mention the TCRA); however, this rate expires April 20, 2010, so don’t wait until the last minute to book.
