It’s that time of year! Elections are quickly approaching, and not just any elections, The Torque Converter Rebuilder’s Association Board of Director’s elections! These elections are an easy, peaceful transfer of power. The most important thing we can do to help generate and keep interest in our specialized industry is to take party in this very crucial process.
The process is very simple. The positions are open to any member eighteen years of age or older, that and is in good standing with the association (current dues paying member).
Procedure
Interested candidates can self-nominate or nominate another member by sending an email to Len Wack at

. If you do not have access to email, you may send your nomination via US mail no later than April 1, 2010 to Len Wack at 96 Deckertown Tpke, Montague, NJ 07825. All nominations will be confirmed by telephone.
Voting
Each dues paying member will get only one vote. It will be assumed that members will vote at the annual seminar held this year in Dayton,Ohio. Not knowing if all members can attend the seminar, provisions for voting prior to the seminar will be made by mailing your vote to Len Wack, no later than May 1, 2010. This will ensure that all votes count.
We strongly encourage member to consider taking a more active role in the only association that caters to the Torque Converter Rebuilding Industry. I have been a member of the TCRA for a number of years and a BOD for only a couple of years. It has been a very rewarding experience and has offered great opportunities to interact with some very talented people in our industry.

You’ve opened the presents, and you rang in the New Year. You’ve made your New Years resolutions and probably already abandoned the majority of them. Did you remember to make plans for the most important industry event of the year? That’s right! TCRA 2010 is right around the corner. The dates are set for May 21st and 22nd. This year we will be visiting beautiful Dayton, Ohio. Our hosts at Consolidated Vehicle Converters have been working hard on the arrangements. Hotel accommodations and the Saturday seminar will be at the Hilton Garden Inn. This hotel is 30 minutes from the Dayton airport and 15 minutes from CVC. A group rate of $99.00 has been set until March 20, 2010, but don’t wait until the last minute to book. You don’t want to miss out on this great opportunity. Recently a pre-seminar survey was sent out via e-mail. If you haven’t taken the opportunity to complete this please do. The seminar committee is working hard on providing relevant topics as well as quality speakers. They can only achieve this with the input of the members. Look for additional info in each month’s newsletter or on the web at www.tcraonline.com |
