This year’s seminar is scheduled to be in Dayton, Ohio on May 21st, 2010-May 22nd, 2010. Consolidated Vehicle Converters has been preparing for this year’s seminar, and the seminar committee has been concentrating on organizing an informative seminar each attendee will benefit from. Hotel accommodations and Saturday seminar will be at the Hilton Garden Inn. This hotel is approximately 30 minutes from the Dayton airport and 15 minutes from CVC.

Past seminars have been a great success due to vast participation of our members and their employees. We also have Bob Warnke, Ed Lee, and Rodger Bland included in our speaker lineup to share their vast knowledge of the industry, answer questions and educate even the most seasoned rebuilder.

The seminar fee includes transportation to the plant tour of CVC on Friday, lunch, Saturday classroom seminar and steak lunch. A reception will also be held Saturday evening with a cash bar. Election results will also be announced during the member meeting.

For members, seminar fees are set at $225 for the first attendee and discounted rate of $175 for each additional attendee. For nonmembers, seminar fees are set at $275 for the first attendee and $250 for each additional attendee. You can make arrangements with Len Wack by calling (973) 293-8925 or by emailing Len at lenw@embarqmail. com

Hotel arrangements can be made by contacting the hotel directly. You can still benefit by booking early and receiving our TCRA group rate of $99.00 (just mention the TCRA); however, this rate expires April 20, 2010, so don’t wait until the last minute to book. It’s Election Time! PDF Print E-mail
Seminar - 2010 Seminar

It’s that time of year! Elections are quickly approaching, and not just any elections, The Torque Converter Rebuilder’s Association Board of Director’s elections!   These elections are an easy, peaceful transfer of power. The most important thing we can do to help generate and keep interest in our specialized industry is to take party in this very crucial process.

The process is very simple. The positions are open to any member eighteen years of age or older, that and is in good standing with the association (current dues paying member).

Procedure

Interested candidates can self-nominate or nominate another member by sending an email to Len Wack at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . If you do not have access to email, you may send your nomination via US mail no later than April 1, 2010 to Len Wack at 96 Deckertown Tpke, Montague, NJ 07825. All nominations will be confirmed by telephone.

Voting

Each dues paying member will get only one vote. It will be assumed that members will vote at the annual seminar held this year in Dayton,Ohio. Not knowing if all members can attend the seminar, provisions for voting prior to the seminar will be made by mailing your vote to Len Wack, no later than May 1, 2010. This will ensure that all votes count.

We strongly encourage member to consider taking a more active role in the only association that caters to the Torque Converter Rebuilding Industry. I have been a member of the TCRA for a number of years and a BOD for only a couple of years. It has been a very rewarding experience and has offered great opportunities to interact with some very talented people in our industry.
